Charlotte Economy & Jobs

Charlotte is bustling.  I-77, I-85, and I-40 make travel to and from Charlotte, NC easy.  Charlotte/Douglas International airport is busy and growing: it ranks 12th most active in the US with 15 million passengers a year.

Known as the International Gateway to the South, Charlotte has emerged as a transportation and wholesale center.  It is the second leading financial center with the headquarters of Bank of America and Wachavoia, as well as home to over 100,000 employed in private high-tech firms.  Leading companies like Duke Energy, U.S. Airways, and Family Dollar call the area their home headquarters.

Charlotte Sports & NASCAR Racing

If you live in Charlotte, you almost have to love Nascar Racing!  The Nascar Sprint All-Star Race, the Coca Cola 600, and the Bank of America 500 all call the Lowe's Motor Speedway home.  In 2010, the Nascar Hall of Fame will open in Charlotte.
